Coronavirus update: X has reopened

News - 17 January 2022 - Communication

During the press conference on Friday, 14 January, the relaxation of some of the coronavirus restrictions was announced. As a result, you can now return to X for most of our programme, including in the evenings! We are really looking forward to being able to welcome everyone back.

Reopening in two stages
Now that we are once more able to open in the evenings, we are reinstating the regular opening hours. Of course, we are doing our utmost to reintroduce the various components of our programme as quickly as possible.

Starting this evening, Monday 17 January (from 17:00):

  • all association activities can be resumed;
  • you can make use of the fitness;
  • some rooms can be reserved for free usage. Details of which rooms these are, can be found here.

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday 18 January:

  • you can take part in ticket hours again;
  • all rooms, both indoors and out, can again be reserved for free usage;
  • you can also make use of other components of our programme, such as the VR rooms, the Living Room and Boost. Please note: since it is not yet permitted to open the Boost sections in the evening, Boost sessions have been timetabled during the day (before 17:00). As of this weekend, also Open Studio will be back on offer.

Safety measures
The existing X safety measures remain in place and some aspects have been made stricter.

  • If you wish to enter X, you must show a COVID certificate at the entrance.
  • If you use the outdoor facilities only, you will not need to show a COVID certificate. In that case, you do not need to queue at the main entrance, but can gain access around the back via the tennis courts gate.
  • Please keep a distance of 1.5 metres from each other. It is only permitted to relax the social-distancing rule during sports activities.
  • Inside X, please wear a face mask, even during seated activities. There are two exceptions: you can remove the face mask during sports activities and/or if a face mask inhibits the activity, such as singing or playing a wind instrument.
  • In principle, the changing rooms (with the exception of the outdoor changing rooms), toilets and lockers are available. However, we ask you to bring as little as possible with you and preferably to arrive at X having already changed clothes.

Takeaway
Although Cafe X unfortunately has to remain closed, we are of course still offering our takeaways from the Concept Store. This means that, from Monday to Friday, you can enjoy a tasty takeaway pizza, poke bowl or flammkuchen after your activity at X! View our complete menu here.

Courses
In the light of the current relaxations, we hope to be able to start a new series of courses in the new quarter (Q3). The necessary preparations have already started. We will provide further details on the website as soon as we know exactly when the new series of courses can start and when the registration dates will be.
