Mohammad Khosravi, assistant professor at the Delft Center for Systems and Control has been granted the ETH (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich) medal for his doctoral thesis titled "Side-Information in Linear and Nonlinear System Identification".

Each year ETH Zurich - known as a prestigious public research university that focuses primarily on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics -  awards the ETH Medal to a few Ph.D. graduates whose dissertations are deemed considerably of exceptional quality.

Mohammad Khosravi, assistant professor at the Delft Center for Systems and Control, has received the ETH Medal in acknowledgment of his outstanding doctoral research. His thesis, titled "Side-Information in Linear and Nonlinear System Identification," focuses on developing algorithms for deriving mathematical representations of dynamical systems. The proposed methodologies enable obtaining more accurate and interpretable models, and therefore, improving the safety and robustness of subsequent control schemes. Such techniques can be used in a broad range of applications, e.g., in different domains of energy and industry.
