On Tuesday 24 January, the second Alumni Network Energy Transition event took place. The theme of the event was “Local solutions to manage energy needs and capacity”. A big thank you to moderator and one of the ambassadors of the network, Rogier Giepman. The event began with two inspiration sessions. The first explained the current state and challenge of Energy Collective Schiphol Trade Park. Followed by a session on the initiatives and innovations of Accenda. The round table discussions gave attendees the opportunity for discussion and knowledge sharing on:

Focus on the business perspective
What might be various concepts and models, including total cost of ownership models, lean mass production, value chain thinking and business integration.

Focus on policy perspective
About roles of government in shaping the transition towards electric mobility and renewable energy systems; Policy Ambitions, Institutional Theory, Incentive Schemes, Social Aspects.

Focus on collaboration
Scale, scope (participants/stakeholders), the stadium of development and depth.
