Extra resources for working from home: procedure at AE
TU Delft has indicated in the latest TU News what the possibilities are for setting up an ergonomically sound workplace at home. It's great that this has now been set up and offered in a legally and fiscally sound way.
In order to be able to process requests for home workplaces properly, Aerospace Engineering has set up the following procedure:
- The requests can be made in the portal as indicated in the TU message.
- In the first two weeks, the applications will be collected by the department secretaries. No later than 8 December, they will look into the effects of this on the possible financial risk in the business operations together with Finance and HR. This does not mean that Aerospace Engineering uses other criteria than those indicated by TU Delft, but that we want to be prepared for financial risks and be able to organise risk spreading if necessary.
- This means that the final approval of your possible order will take place soon after 8 December.
We advise all of you to read the supplier's terms and conditions carefully in advance to avoid any surprises upon delivery.
Please note: this is a loan agreement. The purchased furniture and equipment remains the property of TU Delft.
Read the TU Delft message in TU News in your mailbox dated 17 November or on the intranet.
Zoom now also available for TU Delft employees
Zoom is available to all TU Delft employees. ICT has purchased a license, which means that as a TU employee you can now log into the Business version of Zoom with your NetID. Students do not need a license to participate in a session. Please note: Zoom doesn’t comply with AVG rules. Go to https://tudelft.zoom.us and log in with your NetID account. Follow the steps on your screen. ICT TU Delft only sypports the logging on with your NetID. For other questions go to Zoom for support.
This information as well as instructions on how to use Zoom are available at the TU Delft employee portal.
TU Delft buys central license on ZOOM
A call to all: do not purchase your own licenses on ZOOM. TU Delft is working on purchasing a campus license on ZOOM. More information is expected in the course of this week.
Your home office
In one of the next alerts we will cover the topic of working conditions at home. For now: in case you do not have a good desk chair or computer monitor at home, please ask your supervisor / manager whether it’s OK to take home your office equipment to temporarily use at home. TU Delft has already given permission to do this on the condition that it’s well registered.
