A Dutch-German workshop

A Dutch-German workshop โ€œNorth-Sea meets Baltic Seaโ€ to strengthen the Dutch-German collaborations in coastal research was hold on the 20th of May 2019 at the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemuende in Germany.  The workshop was related to the causes and consequences of climate change effects as well as anthropogenic impacts on coastal systems in the North sea and Baltic sea. The researches from Germany and Netherlands discussed strategies and joint research efforts to tackle these urgent questions. During the afternoon the Dutch royal couple and ministers from Germany and the Netherlands visited the Institute. Senior and young scientist presented current research topics and explained the urgency for a joint collaboration in the field of marine science between Germany and the Netherlands. Scientist from the TU Delft participated in the Workshop and explained their marine research during oral and poster presentations.
