The state of the art modelling workshop has a central position within the faculty as a whole, and in the Form Studies programme in particular. These facilities are used extensively by the faculty’s student population and especially by MSc diploma students. Apart from more or less traditional workshop facilities, the computer aided modelling opportunities of the faculty’s CAM-lab play an increasingly important role in education and research (notably in an explorative Form Studies course entitled Ornamatics).
Furthermore, modelling applications play an important role in several composition and materialisation studies and exhibitions. Since the spring of 2009 the Form and Modelling Studies cluster is housed in the centrally located, transparent Southern Atrium of the BK City complex.
