Dr. ir. Ruxin Jing

Profile

Biography
Ruxin Jing holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, and is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the section of Pavement Engineering. He received his bachelor degree in Engineering from the Honor School in 2012 and a master degree in Highway and Railway Engineering in 2014 at Harbin Institute of Technology. He completed his PhD research on the topic of ageing behaviour of bituminous materials in 2019

Ruxin Jing’s main research interests are the experimental and numerical characterization of ageing in bituminous materials. Nowadays, there is a global interest to develop pavement materials with increased durability and lifespan. For this reason, Dr. Jing is currently developing an environmentally friendly and financially attractive epoxy modified asphalt concrete technology. In the coming years, he will continue work on the improvement of the long-term performance of asphalt pavements, while minimizing their impact on the environment.

Ruxin Jing is the young academic editor of Journal of Road Engineering and Journal of Municipal Engineering Technology. He is a member of the TC on Fingerprinting Bituminous Binders in RILEM. He is also a young committee member of Rheology in CCS.
