Vidi grants for cloud research and energy storage
Two researchers of the faculty of CEG, Louise Nuijens and Hadi Hajibeygi, have been awarded a Vidi grant by The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). This grant offers them the possibility of developing their own line of research and building their own research group.

GSE continues using Move Software
Petroleum Experts Ltd (Petex) has kindly donated 10 licenses of the MOVE Suite software to the Delft University of Technology. The software will be used by students and researchers in Applied Earth Sciences at the Department of Geoscience and Engineering.

Associate Professor Phil Vardon and PhD candidate Ivaylo Pantev want to warm or cool buildings through their pile foundations, by using the natural temperature of the soil. Vacancies for 15 Phd candidates: Investigating subsurface processes in the Netherlands
NWO awarded more than 4 million euros to 5 innovative research projects from the faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences (CEG) for research into the effect of human interventions deep under the ground. The research programme DeepNL seeks to improve the fundamental understanding of deep subsurface dynamics that occur under the influence of human interventions such as gas production and geological storage of CO2.
