This project is funded by Kennisagenda. It is aimed to improve the utilization of geothermal resources using Finite Element Method numerical simulations. The prediction of geothermal heat production is improved by incorporating geo-technical and economic uncertainty in reservoir simulations and probabilistic modelling respectively.
My work is focused on deriving a routine and workflow for improving geothermal energy production at the regional scale. This research is at the interplay between science, application and policy; it aspires to aid the wider deployment of geothermal systems in the Dutch context.
