Ramesh Kumar, K.

Profile

I completed my BS in National Institute of Technology, Karnataka, India (NITK) in mechanical engineering.  I completed my MSc in TU Delft in the field of energy, flow and process technology, in mechanical engineering department. During my masters, I also got opportunities to pursue my BS internship at University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign (UIUC), United States, MSc internship at Imperial College, London, UK and MSc thesis at ETH, Zurich, Switzerland. Currently I am working as doctoral candidate from December 2019 in the Subsurface storage theme, TU Delft.

Research

I am working in the Admire simulation team, to study the feasibility of hydrogen storage in the subsurface using numerical modelling. It involves developing a field relevant multiscale method for modelling heterogeneous highly fractured integrated reservoir earth geo-models under cyclic loading with non-linear fluid and rock properties. This allows for manifesting and parameterization of the possibility of the energy storage in the available storage sites across the world and further gauging the intensity of the induced effects.
