Sotiria Georgiou
Profile
Sotiria has a Physics degree and a MSc. degree in Environmental Physics from the University of Athens, Greece (UoA). She has been conducting her research under the guidance of the Ocean Physics and Modelling group at the UoA. She has been appointed as a PhD Candidate at TU Delft, since 1st April 2015, where she works in the group of Caroline Katsman on her VIDI research project: "From small whirls to the global ocean: How ocean eddies govern the response of the ocean circulation to high-latitude climate change".
Sotiria’s research interests center around ocean circulation, deep-water formation processes, air-sea interaction and climate changes- issues that she has been investigating since her BSc and MSc Theses.
