After graduating with his master’s Hydraulic structures at Delft University of technology (TUDelft), Job Kool started to work as a structural engineer at Royal HaskoningDHV. Three years ago, he started his research at the TU Delft.
The title of his research is: "SAFElevee: Analysis and hindcasting of individual levee failure". The project objectives are (a) to improve the understanding of (geotechnical) failure mechanisms and breaching of flood defence systems, (b) to enhance reliability analysis and design of safe levee systems, and c) to provide systematically collected datasets for future scientific research.
