Wilfred Molenaar
Wilfred worked for the Dutch contractor Ballast Nedam from 1989 to 2003. In the engineering subsidiary he had positions varying from structural engineer, hydraulic specialist, port engineer to project leader. He participated in projects ranged from temporary structures, quays, jetties and other waterfront structures, bridges, port or terminal feasibility studies to projects in the hydraulic field, e.g. scour protections and a breakwater; the majority of projects were for locations out of Europe. Today he is lecturer and researcher for Delft University of Technology (since 2003). Fields of interest are structures near waterfronts and rivers, floating (Mega)structures, probabilistic techniques and safety issues.
