Frederik Vinke
Frederik graduated at Delft University of Technology, faculty Civil Engineering & Geosciences, in 2009. He holds a MSc-degree in Hydraulic Engineering, in the field of Dredging Engineering.
After his graduation he joined Rijkswaterstaat as a Hydraulic Engineer for the department Programs, Projects & Maintenance. Over the past years Frederik was involved by all kind of projects in the broad field of Hydraulic Engineering. His main focus is on the design, construction, renovation and maintenance of Hydraulic Structures and Waterways. Examples of the projects are the maintenance-strategy of the breakwaters of IJmuiden, (re)construction of the berthing structures in the harbor of Hoek van Holland, maintenance dredging of the waterways, Kaderrichtlijnwater-projects and reinforcement of the waterdefence of IJmuiden.
In September 2017 he started as a PhD in the section of Ports and Waterways. His research is about the effects of climate change on the Inland Water Transport system in the Netherlands.
