Peter Quist

Profile

Peter Quist has been working at the independent consultancy firm Witteveen+Bos since 2001 after he completed the Civil Engineering study, Hydraulic engineering with specialisation in ports and waterways at Delft Technical University. Mr Quist is a project manager/port engineer working in the fields of expertise of port facilities and (inland) waterways. Since 2008, Mr. Quist is head of the group 'port structures and waterways' at Witteveen+Bos and part-time lecturer at the Chair named 'Ports and Waterways' at the faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences of Delft Technical University.

The experience of Mr. Quist relates to port structures for both sea- and inland ports and marinas. The experience consists of the planning of new ports and port extensions, layout studies including vessel maneuvering areas and optimum mooring arrangements, the design of quay- and jetty structures, fender and bollard selection, and bed protections against propeller wash. Since the year 2005 Mr. Quist has been working as a project leader on multidisciplinary projects in port and waterway projects.
