Profile
Angelo Simone is an associate professor in the Computational Mechanics Group embedded in the Structural Mechanics Section of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences at TU Delft. Angelo earned his M.Sc. (Laurea) in civil engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in October 1998 and his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (computational mechanics) from TU Delft in October 2003.

Research interests
Angelo's research interests are in the field of computational mechanics of materials, regularized media, enriched approximations (GFEM/XFEM), fiber-reinforced composites, and materials for energy storage.
