Dr. ir. M. (Manimaran) Pari

Manimaran Pari, born and raised in Chennai, India (1989) is a postdoctoral researcher in the section of Applied Mechanics. He graduated with a Bachelor of Technology (2011) in Civil Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India. Subsequently, he moved to the Netherlands in 2012 and received both his M.Sc (2015) and Ph.D (2020) from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Delft University of Technology. The doctoral research involved work on sequentially linear solution procedures, which are alternatives to traditional incremental-iterative methods, for structural nonlinear finite element simulations of quasi-brittle fracture.

Manimaran currently works on projects related to characterising and understanding light and structural damage in masonry using numerical methods. He also focuses on further developing the sequentially linear class of solution procedures, and developing and implementing constitutive models for quasi-brittle materials.
