Liu, X.
Profile
I got my master degree on Environmental Science from School of Environment, Beijing Normal University, China. My current research is about the implementation of Circular Economy in urban transport infrastructure projects. My promotors are Prof. Marcel Hertogh, Prof. Martin de Jong, and Dr. Daan Schraven. I also supervise master graduation thesis and assist Prof. Hans Bakker, Dr. Marian Bosch-Rekveldt and Dr. Daan Schraven in bachelor two courses of the faculty.
Research
My research includes exploring the relationship between infrastructure assets and construction/building materials via Circular Economy towards sustainability; looking into Circular Economy in the construction sector from an innovation systems perspective; comparing China and the Netherlands in terms of Circular Economy in the construction sector; constructing an implementation framework of Circular Economy for infrastructure projects. I’ve already conducted a case study of a High Speed Railway Station project in China in 2019.
