Profile

Clarissa holds a Master’s degree in Science & Engineering of Materials from Federal University Alfenas in Brazil (2014).
Since 2015, she is a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Civil Engineering from Technische University Delft and her PhD research is related to new glass compositions containing fly ash and slag, and their applications for building engineering. She is also interested in glass composition design and the characterization of mechanical, optical, thermal and structural properties of glass.
Since 2019 she is a Senior Scientist at American Glass Research (Agr), in which her main areas of responsibility include fracture analysis, container testing, seminar instruction and other topics related to glass as a material for use in the container industry.
