Research

The main aim of my research is to numerically investigate the chloride transport mechanisms inside the microstructure of alkali-activated materials and obtain time-dependent chloride diffusivity from microscale to macroscale to be used for service life prediction. The research focuses on:

  • Measuring the chloride binding capacity
  • Developing multiscale reactive diffusion numerical model
  • Long-term natural diffusion test
  • Service life prediction
