Profile

Freddy is a third year PhD student at the Transport and Planning (T&P) department, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, Delft University of Technology. Prior to his PhD tenure, Freddy obtained his Bachelor of Technology degree from the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology - Calicut, India and his Master of Technology degree from the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology – Mumbai, India with a specialisation in Transportation Systems Engineering.

Research

His research focuses on impact assessment of Automated Driving Systems on highway focussing on safety and driving efficiency. This research is expected to produce a novel microscopic traffic flow model for mixed traffic fleet (automated and human-driven vehicles);  a probabilistic approach for risk assessment of mixed traffic and risk estimation in proactive safety systems ; design insights for driving automation system control and policy insights for transport planners.
