Dr. Yan Feng is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Transport and Planning and Director of the Mobility in eXtended Reality Lab. She is working on applying eXtended Reality (VR, AR, XR) to study different modes of mobility in urban spaces, including pedestrians, cyclists, and automated vehicles. She is passionate about conducting interdisciplinary research that combines transportation engineering, architecture, design, and computer science to understand the interaction amongst people, space, and technology. Her research interests include pedestrian behaviour, Virtual Reality, wayfinding behaviour, evacuation behaviour, AV-VRU interaction, human mobility, social behaviour, human-computer interaction.
