Adaptation to the climate change in urban areas: assessing rainfall-induced flooding events

On January 2012, Santiago started his PhD at Delft University of Technology. His work aims to assess and develop alternatives for building resilience against climate change and its effects. Currently he is collaborating with a Department's research that attempts to determine the relationships between rainfall-related variables and damage statistics. This research seeks to enhance the accuracy of pricing climate-related risks within the 'Open Access Catastrophe Model' project, in order to enhance the capability of insurance to cope with climate change effects.
