Yang Lu

Yang Lu entered the Water Resources Management Section in Delft University of Technology as a PhD candidate in October, 2013. He obtained his B.E. degree from Tongji University, China in 2010, and graduated from Beijing Normal University, China 3 years later with a M.S. degree in Cartology and Geographic Information System. His Master's thesis focused on the spatial downscaling of TRMM precipitation data in the Yarlung Zangbo River Basin, China.

His PhD research focuses on the estimation of surface turbulent heat fluxes from measurements of land surface temperature and soil moisture using data assimilation.
