Transport & Planning
How can we solve congestion? Why can't we just build more roads and railways? The Department Transport & Planning at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences conducts scientific research and provides education about the planning and operation of transport systems.
Our themes are:
- Coordinated and Cooperative Network Traffic Operations and Management
- Reliable Multimodal Transport Systems
- Cooperative and automated driving
- Active Mode Mobility
We provide transport and planning courses in the Bachelor programme Civil Engineering, we offer a Transport & Planning track in the MSc programmes Civil Engineering and participate in the interfaculty MSc programme Transport Infrastructure and Logistics.

Survey ALLEGRO project
The survey in the links below investigates factors that influence decisions we make while cycling and is part of the ALLEGRO project. It should take 5-7 minutes to be filled in. There is a Dutch and an English version, hence two links, but it is also possible to switch language within the survey. Thank you in advance for your participation!
