Rolf Dollevoet en Rob Goverde: voorkom ‘ATB Vv-eilandjes’ bij uitrol
De spoorsector dient te voorkomen dat er bij de uitrol van het Europese beveiligingssysteem ERTMS ‘ATB Vv-eilandjes’ ontstaan. Dat zeggen Rolf Dollevoet en Rob Goverde in reactie op de plannen van het kabinet om tot en met 2030 alleen de drukst bereden spoorlijnen met ERTMS Level 2 uit te rusten
TU Delft researcher improves modelling for effects of kilometre charge
It is highly likely that some form of kilometre charge will be on the political agenda during the present talks on the formation of the new government. However, there is much room for improvement in the models used to predict the effects of a kilometre charge. Erik-Sander Smits has combined know-how from game theory, choice analyses, traffic flow theory and the transport economy to create a better modelling. On Tuesday 16 May the NWO researcher will be awarded a PhD at TU Delft for his work on this subject.
Nieuwe website Project Co-ReUs
Transport & Planning maakt deel uit van een breed consortium, verenigd in het CO-REUS project (Co-creating Responsive Urban Spaces). In dit onderzoeksproject werkt het lectoraat Bouwtransformatie van de Hogeschool van Amsterdam samen met ca. 25 organisaties (stedenbouwkundigen, interactieve conceptontwikkelaars en lokale stakeholders) aan de toepassing van interactieve objecten in de versterking van de openbare ruimte van de ArenA Boulevard.
Young Research Award 2017
Nikola Besinovic won the Young Research Award 2017 of the International Association of Railway Operations Research (IAROR) with his excellent and innovative paper ‘Resolving instability in railway timetabling problems’, at RailLille 2017!
Transport Institute partner in ITF/OECD Decarbonisation project
Last week professor Lóri Tavasszy reached an agreement with the International Transport Forum (ITF) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to become a partner in the Decarbonising Transport project on the topic of freight transport and logistics.
