The Cybersecurity group at TU Delft collaborated with WICCA (Women in Cybersecurity Community Association), to host a meetup on "Cybersecurity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" on March 27, 2023. The overarching theme of the discussions was how academia and industry can help each other to improve our defense capabilities.

Zekeriya Erkin appointed board member at ACCSS.

Dr. Z. Erkin was appointed as a board member for ACCSS. He will act as vice-chair as of December 2022. ACCSS (pronounced as ‘access’ and short for ACademic Cyber Security Society), is the association for scientists who are active in the field of cybersecurity in the Netherlands, both in the natural sciences as well as from the alpha and gamma sciences.

Prof. Georgios Smaragdakis, head of the Cybersecurity Section, was named Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Distinguished Member for "Outstanding Scientific Contributions to Computing". The ACM Distinguished Member program recognizes each year "ACM members with at least fifteen years of professional experience who have made significant accomplishments or achieved a significant impact on the computing field".
