Delft Hyperloop students fourth in SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition

On Sunday 21 July 2019, the Delft Hyperloop student team took fourth place in the final of the 2019 SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition in Los Angeles. The team's hyperloop pod – a vehicle that can reach extremely high speeds in a vacuum tube due to the fact that it experiences virtually no drag – reached a top speed of 196 km/h in a one-kilometre-long vacuum tube. This meant that the team trailed, among others, their German rivals from the University of Munich, who won the competition with a speed of 465 km/h.

TU Delft Solar Boat Team world champion solar boat racing on open sea

The TU Delft Solar Boat Team became world champion in open-sea solar boat racing during the Solar & Energy Boat Challenge 2019. The challenge took place on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 July in Monaco. This was the first time in the history of the team that it took part in the offshore class, and it is the first Dutch team to race on the open sea with a solar-powered boat.

Second place for students Delft University of Technology during International Submarine Races

With a top speed of 12,2 km/h, the WASUB team has finished second during the World Cup for human powered submarines in Washington. After days of neck-and-neck battle with the Canadian team they were only 0,3 km/h short for the first place.

Students of the Delft University of Technology reveal new rocket: Stratos IV

The Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering team revealed their latest rocket, the Stratos IV. A rocket that was entirely designed, built and will be launched, by students, to the edge of space! The show wouldn't have been complete without the perfect rocket transportation, a Corvette C7, just like the Apollo astronauts drove 50 years ago.

TUDelft Hyperloop team unveiled new hyperloop capsule Atlas 02

On Monday, June 3rd, the Delft Hyperloop Team held an event in the Auditorium of Delft University of Technology. Here, they unveiled their new hyperloop capsule, Atlas 02. With this vehicle, the team will participate in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition on July 21st, which will be held in Los Angeles, California. The goal of the team is to win and break the current world speed record of 467 km/h on a one-kilometer track.
