1 Applying for a Master’s degree programme with a Dutch certificate

A Admission requirements with a Dutch university Bachelor’s degree

With a Bachelor’s degree in which the previous qualifications match the Master’s degree programme, you can usually be admitted directly. If the Master’s degree is not a complete match with your previous qualification, you can take extra modules, in a so-called bridging programme. It could be a standard package or a package put together to suit your specific situation.

Information about degree programmes and transferring from Bachelor’s degree programmes to Master’s degree programmes can be found at doorstroommatrix.nl and www.studiekeuze123.nl.

4TU

If you have a Bachelor’s degree from another degree programme at TU Delft, Eindhoven University of Technology , the University of Twente or Wageningen University, the committee from the Master’s degree programme at TU Delft will decide whether direct admission is possible.

You will find details of the specific admission requirements on the webpages of the relevant Master’s degree programme.

B Admission requirements with a degree from a university of applied sciences

A Bachelor’s degree from a university of applied sciences does not qualify you for direct admission to a TU Delft Master’s degree programme. To start a Master’s degree programme, you will first need to complete a supplementary combination of modules in order to bring your knowledge to the required level. The content of the combination of modules will vary for each Master’s degree programme and you can find information about the modules on the Master’s degree programmes pages.

Note: the majority of bridging programmes at TU Delft are taught in Dutch.

What conditions apply?

The following conditions apply for access to the bridging programme (after obtaining your university of applied sciences degree certificate):

  1. The Master’s degree programme of your choice must follow-on from your university of applied sciences degree programme (to check that, consult the transfer matrix). If you cannot find the information about the bridging programme from your previous qualifications to the Master’s degree programme of your choice, you should contact the faculty contact person
  2. The entrance tests in Mathematics and English have been passed.
  3. You have met the additional conditions set by the faculty that provides the Master’s degree programme (see additional conditions below)

Supplementary conditions

Some faculties at TU Delft set supplementary conditions for students wishing to enter Master’s degree programmes. For each Master’s degree programme you can find out below whether there are any supplementary conditions you will need to meet.

If your chosen programme is not included in the list, first check whether the programme you are looking for is not actually a track or specialisation in one of the Master’s degree programmes listed. If it is, you should contact the coordinator of your chosen Master’s degree programme. Details of the coordinators can be found in the Master’s degree programmes.
