Yi-Kai Peng

Hello! My name is Yi-Kai, and I am from Taipei, Taiwan. I study Aerospace Engineering and chose Flight performance and propulsion (FPP) as my track. The motivation for my study at TU Delft can be traced back to my bachelor's study, in which I also studied the same subject at the previous university. I first learned about TU Delft in my freshman year, and it gave me a good impression of the learning quality. Moreover, the bachelor's UAV project also triggered my interest in design and aerodynamic perspectives. Therefore, I eventually chose TU Delft as my journey to continue my master's study.

My interest in aviation started in high school and coincidentally, my high school was close to the airport. I really enjoyed seeing airplanes flying over. In addition, I am also interested in photo shooting, plane spotting and plane modelling in my spare time. At TU Delft, I met so many people who have strong motivations in the same field as I. Studying at the faculty of Aerospace Engineering is very challenging, but the facilities and international environment give students a lot of support. Moreover, the Netherlands is a very English-friendly country which you can survive without knowing Dutch, but of course, it is handier to learn the local language.

During the application process and preparation for study before the kick-off day, I had so many questions about the study and life in Delft. As a student ambassador, I am here to answer any doubts about studying at TU Delft or living in the Netherlands. If you have any questions about the Aerospace Engineering program or the tips and tricks of living in the Netherlands, don't hesitate to contact me!
