Field of study

The bachelor's degree programme in Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences covers a broad range of topics, introducing you to different professional fields. Think of architecture, building technology, urbanism, landscape architecture, construction management, real estate management, and geomatics.

Architecture, Urbanism and Landscape Architecture

Spatial design is central to these fields, as they revolve around the development of our built environment - buildings, cities, regions - and unbuilt environment - gardens, parks, and landscapes.

Building Technology

Building technology concerns itself with the technical sides of the field. For example support structures and building structures, product development, use of materials, installations, building physics and environmental engineering.

Management in the Built Environment

This field focuses on the life cycle of the built environment, such as planning & programming, design and construction management, real estate (re)development and feasibility.

Geoinformatics

This field addresses the analysis, acquisition, management and visualisation of geographical data, which is used to research and understand the built and unbuilt environment.
