Come and see for yourself
Are you interested in Molecular Science & Technology and do you still have questions after reading the website? Or would you like to experience the atmosphere for yourself? You’re more than welcome to come along to one of the many organised activities.
The next Open Days is are held on 18 and/or 21 October 2019 and are organised for pupils in years 4, 5 and 6 of pre-university education (vwo) who are closer to making a decision about a degree programme.
When you are interested in finding out whether a degree programme at TU Delft would be the right choice, you can attend one of the three campus tours on Friday afternoon.
Spending a day attending lectures and tutorials from the Molecular Science & Technology (MST) programme gives you the perfect opportunity to sample the atmosphere at the universities. During this day you shadow one of our MST students, together with a group of secondary school students. Depending on what's going on that particular day and on the availability of lecturers and students, you may attend a lecture, get a guided tour or even experience a laboratory lesson. You will also visit the programme’s study association and have plenty of opportunity to ask questions. The Student-for-a-Day event starts at 10:00 and ends in the afternoon. The exact finishing time is indicated per event.
A Student-for-a-Day event is meant for pre-university education (VWO) students in year 6 or university of applied sciences (HBO) students. You should first visit the programme during an open day. Unfortunately, we cannot admit any other pupils and it is not possible to attend two Student-for-a-Day events (in one academic year) due to the large number of applications. As of 1 May until mid June, we also admit pupils who are in year 5 of pre-university education.
The MST programme organises a Student-for-a-Day event several times a year in the period from October to mid June. You can sign up at mijnlinkmet.tudelft.nl. Subsequently a student will contact you to arrange a date. If you have any questions, please send an email to email@example.com.
Open days and trial studying in Leiden
An Open Day in Leiden is an opportunity to listen to presentations and talk to students and academic counsellors from the department of MST. It's the perfect way to find out what the programme entails, why you should choose it, what it will qualify you to do and whether it's the right programme for you. There are presentations of all the programmes taught at Leiden University during the Open Days, so you can make a good comparison.
Come for a day of trial studying! It's the best way to learn all about a programme. You'll be given assignments beforehand so that you can prepare for the lectures and tutorials you'll attend. Trial studying serves as an introduction to the programme and the type of teaching you can expect at university. Perfect if you're in two minds or want extra reassurance about your choice of programme.
