Come and see for yourself
In order to get to know the degree programme properly, it is important to come and see for yourself. We offer a range of information activities that are designed to help you choose the right programme. By paying us a visit you can experience the atmosphere yourself, and meet students and lecturers.
The next Open Days will be held on 6 and 7 March 2020 and are organised for pupils in years 4, 5 and 6 of pre-university education (vwo) who are closer to making a decision about a degree programme.
When you are interested in finding out whether a degree programme at TU Delft would be the right choice, you can attend one of the three campus tours on Friday afternoon.
Please note: The Molecular Science & Technology programme will not only be present during the Open Days at TU Delft, but will also be present during the Open Days at Leiden University. These two Open Days are essentially the same, so it isn’t necessary to visit both locations.
Below you will find the agenda for the 2019/2020 academic year, which indicates how the various Open Days are to be filled in.

Spending a day attending lectures and tutorials from the Molecular Science & Technology (MST) programme gives you the perfect opportunity to sample the atmosphere at the universities. During this day you shadow one of our MST students, together with a group of secondary school students. Depending on what’s going on that particular day and on the availability of lecturers and students, you may attend a lecture, get a guided tour or even experience a laboratory lesson. You have plenty opportunity to ask questions. A Student-for-a-Day event can take place in Delft or Leiden. Please keep this in mind when you register.
A Student-for-a-Day event is meant for pre-university education (VWO) students in year 6 or university of applied sciences (HBO) students. You should first visit the programme during an open day. Unfortunately, we cannot admit any other pupils and it is not possible to attend two Student-for-a-Day events (in one academic year) due to the large number of applications. As of 1 May, we also admit pupils who are in year 5 of pre-university education.
The MST programme organises a Student-for-a-Day event several times a year in the period from October to mid-June. You can sign up at mijnlinkmet.tudelft.nl. Subsequently a student will contact you to arrange a date. If you have any questions, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Trial studying in Leiden
Come for a day of trial studying! It's the best way to learn all about a programme. You'll be given assignments beforehand so that you can prepare for the lectures and tutorials you'll attend. Trial studying serves as an introduction to the programme and the type of teaching you can expect at university. Perfect if you're in two minds or want extra reassurance about your choice of programme.
