Applicants are required to have a bachelor’s degree in physical science or engineering. All applicants must have sufficient prior knowledge in mathematics (at least 16 EC, including probability and statistics), physics, and programming at a level equivalent to an undergraduate engineering or science degree. In addition, it is recommended to have prior knowledge of Earth sciences. We offer the online course Geoscience: the Earth and its Resources for applicants without this knowledge.

Programming will be in Python, applicants lacking these computer programming skills are advised and/or may be requested to follow an online course before the start of the programme. Completion of the online course is the responsibility of the applicant.

We offer two short self-paced online courses for students that need to learn (or want to catch up on) Python and/or Probability and Statistics. Do you want (or need) to brush op your mathematics? TU Delft offers a range of online courses on calculus, linear algebra, probability and statistics: Master Mathematics

Applicants who are concerned about their ability to satisfy all criteria are encouraged to contact us via MSc-AES@TUDelft.nl.
