Admission and application

If you want to be admitted to the MSc programme Technical Medicine, you have to meet the admission requirements. These requirements depend on your Bachelor's degree. 


Enrolment goes via Delft University of Technology (Studielink).

All programmes start in September. There is a specific deadline for enrolment.

  • BSc degree from a Dutch university in clinical technology (Klinische Technologie/Technische Geneeskunde).
  • Dutch and English Language requirement: the theoretical MSc programme will be taught in English, while the skills training and the communication in the clinic will be in Dutch.

Note that it is not possible to take courses in technical medicine in the Master’s programme if you are not registered as a full-time student.

Possibilities for admission other than BSc degree in clinical technology

We offer a bridging programme to the master of Technical Medicine for Dutch-speaking students with the following bachelor degrees. Students with other bachelor degrees are not admissible to the bridging programme.

  • Medicine/Geneeskunde (CROHO-code: 56551)
  • Biomedical Engineering/Biomedische Technologie (CROHO-code: 56226)

The duration of the bridging programme is one study year and will be taught in Dutch; the maximum study load is 60 EC.
