Chhagan Lal

I am a Researcher in CyberSecurity Labs at the Faculty of EEMCS, Department of Intelligent Systems, TU Delft, Netherlands. Earlier, I was a Research Fellow at Simula Research Labs, Oslo, Norway. Before joining Simula, I was a PostDoc Fellow in the Department of Mathematics, University of Padova (UNIPD), Italy (https://spritz.math.unipd.it/team.html). I am an active member of the Security and PRIvacy Through Zeal (SPRITZ) research group, which is led by Prof. Mauro Conti.
I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, India, in 2014. During Ph.D. I was awarded the Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship under the Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship Program to work at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, SK, Canada. I have wide experience in proposal preparation and execution of EU H2020 projects. My research interests span across various aspects of systems and network security and traffic engineering in next generation networks. Particularly I am interested in the following topics: (i) Network Security, (ii) Blockchain Technologies and Smart contracts, and (iii) Solutions for secure and reliable communication in networks such as IoT, SDN, VANETs, and ICN.
