Alan Hanjalic

Professor, IEEE Fellow
Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Chair
Head of the Multimedia Computing Group
Head of the Intelligent Systems Department

Research interests of Prof. Hanjalic are in the broad field of multimedia information retrieval. The fundamental question he is interested in is how to provide efficient, effective and intuitive access to the information stored in large (online) multimedia data collections in a variety of use scenarios involving both search and recommendation.
