Alireza Ghafari

About

PhD student at the Quantum Integrated Circuits Group of the Faculty of Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS/EWI), Delft University of Technology.

Alireza works on the design of readout circuits for spin qubits. He worked for 5 years in the iSDL group at Sharif University of Technology where he designed and fabricated several chips for a phased array and MIMO transeiver (LNA, phase shifter, PA, oscillator, etc.). He has worked with various technologies (Gan GaAs CMOS). During his master thesis, he investigated power efficiency (DC to RF) in THz signal sources based on polyharmonic distortion theory and designed a novel doubler base frequency source, and published two JSSC papers during these years. He is interested in working on new topics related to IC designed, such as quantum computers, 6G and THz imaging.
