Diversity & Inclusion

Background

In 2017 TU Delft established the Diversity Office, headed by Rinze Benedictus. Consistent with this, diversity prominently features in the TU Delft Strategic Framework 2018-2024, describing it “as a cornerstone for excellence and innovation” (p. 37), and the first value of the six DIRECT values of TU Delft (Diversity, Integrity, Respect, Engagement, Courage, Trust, p. 12).

Faculty EEMCS

At the same time that these efforts were being carried out at the TUDelft level, various grass roots initiatives aimed at strengthening diversity and inclusion emerged at the EEMCS faculty. This resulted in the idea to integrate all activities of the faculty in a dedicated EEMCS Diversity and Inclusion Team (EDIT), whose scope will be aligned with the scope of the TU Delft wide Diversity Office.
