Analysis of software data is still a manual process. The data is given as is, and it is up to the analyst to write queries that narrow down the displayed data.
We aim to partially automate such an analysis using flexfringe. Flexfringe is a passive state machine learning algorithm. I will present the basics and some recent additions and results our users obtain.

Furthermore, I will present some of the challenges my group is working on. Most importantly, I will discuss open problems and ideas on how to improve the interpretability of models that have been learned from data.
