On Friday 19 March 2021, the City of Delft together with Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) and ACCESS will be providing a free Welcome to Delft programme. Designed to welcome, inform and introduce new internationals coming to live and/or work in Delft, this is a ‘not to miss out on’ event.
The event is organised to give you a better understanding of the city, the Dutch culture and people, and how the services of ACCESS can make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. It will also give you an opportunity to broaden your network of contacts and to meet other expatriates.
Following current regulations, keeping in mind restrictions, and considering the safety and well-being of all involved, this will be a hybrid event.
On the morning of Friday, 19 March, participants will be invited to join an online session which includes an introduction to resources and recommended tips for internationals in Delft, a cross-cultural presentation on 'Meet the Dutch'.
At the end of the afternoon participants are invited to sign up and register for a guided walking tour of the historic centre of Delft, and thus have the opportunity to meet and network with fellow internationals (pending government regulations). Participation is free of charge, but registration is required. The walking sessions may have to be split over two days if numbers for the Friday are too large.
