10 November 2021 09:00 till 12:30 - Location: To be determined - By: Teaching Academy | Add to my calendar

This is a blended course, meaning we alternate face-to-face (online in case of tightened measures) sessions with online preparation. The course consists of four activating sessions, with space to practice and reflect.
In small groups, you learn with and from each other in a safe and fun learning environment. Throughout this course, you are encouraged to exchange experiences, and give and receive tips.

To complete this course, you need to:

  • Attend all 4 sessions
  • Complete all preparatory and homework assignments

This course is for participants who teach 0.2FTE or less, and thus don't need to do UTQ, but do need basic skills. Before subscribing, please discuss in your faculty first if this is the right course for you or that the UTQ trajectory is better fitting your needs. ?

This is an alternative to UTQ for a very specific group. Taking this course will not give you a UTQ certificate.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Set up an effective supervision process
  2. Create a safe and motivating learning environment (through coaching techniques)
  3. Apply the principles of constructive alignment to your supervision and assessment practices.
  4. Apply the quality requirement principles to your assessment and supervision practices.
  5. Give constructive feedback
  6. Utilise assessment tools (such as clear rubrics) to make supervision more effective and transparent.
  7. Evaluate the current assessment procedure in light of the quality requirements and suggest improvements.
  8. Reflect on their performance.
  9. Apply TUD Vision on education to their course/s and supervision
