Introduction
The problem of wind-turbine blockage, i.e. the velocity decrease upstream of a wind farm, has emerged in the last few years and it is now recognised as a need from the wind industry since its quantification changes the current design paradigms. During the presentation a set of experiments and theoretical models will be presented to introduce the challenges associated to the identification and quantification of blockage setting the work in perspective to future needs and efforts.
