‘Aviation industry meets Design’
24 October 2017 13:00 till 18:00 - Location: De Kazerne, Eindhoven - By: Communication
The Design Management Network (DMN) organises, in collaboration with the IDE faculty (led by assistant professor Christine De Lille), the first ‘Aviation industry meets Design’ event. The event takes place on Tuesday 24 October during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven (21-29 October).
Within the research programme ‘People in Transit’, the faculty has already gained a lot of knowledge about the role of design in the aviation industry. This event brings the Dutch design world to the attention of international companies operating in aviation.
The focus of the event is on active interaction and discussion about the future of the aviation industry. The event has three tracks:
- Up in the air (the inflight experience)
- On the ground (airports, hubs, retail, security and customs)
- Digital transformation (websites, personalised apps and digital platforms)
Besides Christine De Lille, researchers Katinka Bergema and Suzanne Hiemstra-van Mastrigt, Prof. Peter Vink and PhD candidates Maïte Oonk, Barend Klitsie and Joyce Bouwens of the faculty of IDE have also a contribution in the programme of the event.
The Design Management Network (DMN) is a Dutch professional network. They aim to share and develop knowledge in the field of design and innovation.
