19 February 2019 12:45 till 21:15 - Location: FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE AND THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT, OOSTSERRE AND BERLAGE ROOMS - By: Communication BK | Add to my calendar
On 19 February 2019, Stylos organises the symposium 'Future Makers Day'. Besides several workshops, Daan Roosegaarde will reflect on the theme Future Makers in the evening programme.
This symposium will focus on the challenges of the future. Four companies from different sectors within the field of architecture and the built environment show their vision on the future. Each company gives a short introduction on the challenges in their own discipline. After the introduction lecture, each company will host a two-hour workshop. Participating students work together with one of the companies in finding a solution for a challenge of the future.
During the evening programme, Daan Roosegaarde reflects on the theme 'Future makers' through questions from students and professor of Climate Design and Sustainability Andy van den Dobbelsteen. Daan Roosegaarde is a Dutch inventor, artist, designer, and founder of social design lab Studio Roosegaarde. Through his works, which are often found in public space, he seeks out the boundaries between art and technology.
