Title: Autonomous Mobility on-Demand in urban areas.
Applying Autonomous Mobility on-Demand (AMoD) systems as a first- and last-mile feeder service can improve public transport in urban areas. By using an existing gravity-based travel demand estimation model, the travel demand for the AMoD service is predicted. An agent-based simulation model was developed to be able to predict the impact of mulitple operational AMoD scenarios, based on the travel demand resulting from the demand-model. The simulation outcomes show that the activation of dynamic ridesharing and usage of fast chargers results in most financially viable AMoD operation.
