08 April 2019 10:00 till 12 April 2019 17:00 - Location: hall IDE - By: Communication

The Internet of Things (IoT) has become a key driver for design and innovation, and enables novel, data-rich products and services in domains such as domestic life, health, social care, sports, mobility and energy.

Products like the Nest smart home thermostat highlight the opportunities that (sensor) data, data analytics, machine learning and data-driven experiences can play in creating useful and satisfying products and services.

Prototyping for and with the Internet of Things is a master elective that let students explore the potential and challenges of the IoT through a hands on approach by building an internet-connected wheelchair.

On Monday 8 April (10:00 to 12:00) nine students teams will be demonstrating their Internet-Connected Wheelchair working prototypes in the IDE hall. The prototypes will remain exhibited until Friday 12 April.
