What’s your New Year’s resolution? Let’s start 2020 in a healthy way, as we know that being physically and mentally healthy positively affects your everyday life. Come along to X’s Health Week and experience some of the many benefits of living a healthy lifestyle.
Health Week is taking place from 6 – 11 January and is all about your health. All activities are totally free of charge and anyone is welcome to join! There will be lots activities happening; from testing your fitness, taking charge of your mental health to getting advice from our nutritionist and physiotherapist. Check out the schedule below and stay tuned as new activities will be added to the programme!
Under The Influence: Drunk driving 3D-simulation
Do you want to experience the effects of alcohol and drugs on your driving behaviour? We’ve partnered up with Responsible Young Drivers to bring you this awesome 3D-simulation so you can see for yourselves. No registration needed.

Because who doesn’t love a relaxing massage to de-stress or just to relax? Registration starts at 09:30 sharp and spots will fill quickly.
Monday 6 January and Tuesday 7 January from 10:00 - 14:00 at the Library
It’s the latest craze right now; jogging while cleaning up plastic you see underway. Join us as we run around campus picking up rubbish – we’ll supply all the rubbish bags. So, just bring yourself, your mate and your running gear. Getting \that workout as well as saving the planet, that’s a lot of good feelings right there! No registration needed.
Monday 6 January from 19:00 - 21:00 Gather at the Concept Store
A relaxed human body with a healthy functional capacity brings lots of benefits to your daily life. What's up with your strength? And how about your flexibility and endurance? Check out X's quick health tests and get your results. No registration needed. Not a member? No worries, flag the staff at the Fitness entrance and they will help you out with the tests.

What do I eat to build muscle? How can I get more protein on a vegan diet? What is intermittent fasting? How long before training should I stop eating? Can I survive on chocolate and beer alone? Wednesday 8 January and Thursday 9 January from 17:00 - 19:00 at the Concept Store
Injuries can happen to everyone, from novice runners to hardcore body builders. Don’t hurt yourself while trying to smash those personal bests. Our physiotherapists are here to help you with proper form, warm-up techniques and can even let you know which shoes are best. You’ll find them hanging out in the Fitness, so just swing by and ask them for advice.
No registration needed. Not a member? No worries, flag the staff at the Fitness entrance and they’ll grab the physio for you.

Pop-up Chill Out Zone
While exercising and feeding your body nutritious food are very important ways to stay healthy, relaxing will always be our favourite self-care tip. Take a break, kick off your shoes, and catch up on some well-deserved R&R in the pop-up Chill Out Zone. Use the space to lie down and relax, and sink into a meditative state while listening to soothing music.

No Waste Dinner: Food Sharing Delft
What better way to start the new year than to get together and cook a tasty, healthy dinner with new friends? On 9 January you can join the no Waste Dinner! You’ll also feel good doing it as the food used was saved and would have otherwise been thrown away. No registration needed.
Thursday 9 January from 18:00 - 22:00 at Freetown Kitchen
Life is, of course, all about balance. Cycling association WTOS has put together a good ol’ fashioned pub quiz and incorporated some health-related questions so you can test your knowledge after learning so many fun facts from Health Week. Individuals and groups are more than welcome, grab a drink at the bar and we’ll see you there.
