On Friday 7 February, professor Building Energy Epidemiology Laure Itard gives her inaugural address ‘Energy analytics for sustainable buildings’.
Billons of data points are released each day in smart meters, home automation systems, home appliances and building management systems, possibly shedding a new light on the performances of building’s energy systems. How will these data help us to strongly increase the energy-efficiency in buildings and the building stock? Which role will they play in the transition towards renewable energy and circularity? Are there still data gaps and what are design and policy implications of this energy data revolution? These are the questions that will be addressed during the inaugural speech of professor of Building Energy Epidemiology Laure Itard.
