26 February 2020 12:45 - Location: LECTURE ROOM C, FACULTY OF AEROSPACE ENGINEERING, KLUYVERWEG 1, DELFT - By: webredactie-lr
There is more and more Virtual Reality (VR) around us; it has been used for years in games, and recently companies started with different applications of the virtual world. There are also tons of opportunities for educational purposes; testing designs and educating people are easier to do in a virtual environment.
As the faculty is celebrating her 80th birthday, the Lustrum committee organised a lecture and workshop by Arno Freeke of the VR Lab of the TU Delft on 26th February 2020. Arno and his colleagues help students and staff with the implementation of VR in research and education. This is the perfect example of ‘Gamechangers’, the theme of the Lustrum!
‘It was great to learn about the applications of Virtual Reality during the Lunch Lecture of VR Zone, and also to experience the game-changing projects afterwards!’ says Leanne van Dam, student and president of VSV ‘Leonardo da Vinci’.
