14/03 Tournament: DSEA Cardgame Tournament

14 March 2020 11:00 till 17:30 - By: Communication

Prepare yourself for the next amazing event hosted by Delft’s very own esport association, DSEA! This time they are hosting a cardgame tournament including the games Hearthstone, Magic the Gathering, Legends of Runeterra and Keyforge!

They are hosting a number of brackets of all the games: Hearthstone, Magic: the Gathering, Legends of Runeterra and Keyforge. These tournaments are open for everyone, regardless of experience within any specific cardgame. For Hearthstone and Legends of Runeterra you must bring your own lineup of decks, but for Magic: The Gathering and Keyforge a draft will be held. This means you can participate even if you don’t own a single card or deck of that game, as everyone crafts or opens their deck on the day itself.

The format for Hearthstone and Legends of Runeterra is a standard BO3 Conquest. This means you bring three decks of different classes or regions, both players ban one deck, and then you must win with both remaining decks.

For Magic: The Gathering they will feature a boosterdraft from Theros: beyond Death! Together with the other players at your table you will build a deck consisting of 3 packs and the lands they have provided.

For Keyforge they will host a sealed tournament! This means that the contents of your deck are not yet known to you before you start the tournament, and neither will your opponent. You will need to have the perfect mix of luck and skill to come out on top in this bracket!

Each tournament will have a prize pool made up of the sum of 2 euros per participant in that bracket. You can buy drinks and lunch at Café X. X subscription holders get a voucher for a free drink. Not a participant in one of the games? You are welcome to come and watch!

The schedule for the tournament is as follows:
